He was born Monday, February 26, 1940 in Lynch, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William Witherow and the late Georgia Postelle Witherow. He was the husband of Kathleen Ceballos Witherow.
He served as a PFC in the Marine Corps from 1957 until 1959.
Richard liked to play cards at the casinos in Laughlin and Las Vegas. He also liked Corvettes and watching the Lakers. One of his biggest loves was for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are son, Brent Witherow; daughter Robin Ramirez; daughter Toni Webster;10 grand children; 3 great grand children.
He was predeceased by son, Kenneth Witherow.
A Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Boulevard Riverside, California 92518.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Miller-Jones Moreno Valley, 23618 Sunnymead Bl., Moreno Valley, California .
