Richard was in the Navy Reserves during the Korean Conflict. He worked for the Dailey Breeze and the North County Times. His favorite career was being the owner of Hemet Travel and Tours in Hemet, California for 30 years. He loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. He enjoyed reading and watching golf.
He is survived by his loving wife Lee; his children and their families, Debby Jankowski, Greg Hull, Marilyn Mears, Barbara Hanks, Howard Pierce, Glenn Pierce and Leslie Hathorn; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; his brother Dave and sister Candace.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Richard on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 3:30 pm. at Miller-Jones Mortuary located at 26770 Murrieta Road, Sun City, California 92586.
