He entered into life on Friday, September 30, 1932, he was the son of the late Ora E. Brannan and the late Helen I. Hayes Brannan. Richard was double widowed. Loving husband of the late Constance J. Brannan (50+ Years) and father of his only son, Richard D. Brannan Jr. His second wife was Mary Faith Brannan (5 Years).
Richard served in the US Army as a tank commander and was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. He studied and graduated from the General Motors Institute. Richard worked and retired from General Motors Buick division in Flint Michigan as a pattern maker before relocating to California. One of his biggest passions was working with wood. Richard was one to make instead of purchase gifts for family and friends hand crafted from fine woods. Richard loved to travel and had an affinity for Africa where he made several trips. Always active in church functions he served on many boards and held offices of secretary as well as usher and parking lot attendant. He was always willing to serve.

A grave side service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside California. 11:30AM March 14th 2019.
