Regina "Gia" Ramirez was born in New York on November 24th, 1931 to Mr. & Mrs. Demetrio and Carmen Vicente. As a young lady Gia developed a passion for modern dance eventually earning a college scholarship in dance and becoming a part of the Munt-Brooks Dance Studio in New York City. After marrying Jess Ramirez, and having two daughters, she moved with her family to California.
She was a compassionate, loving person and it was not unusual to add her daughter's friends to her dinner table. She loved her pets, she kept birds, cats and dogs throughout her life. She was an adventurous traveler having journeyed through Europe, Russia, Australia and having taken a Russian icebreaker to South America. She loved and respected the Earth and did her best to protect it and all life on it. She enjoyed the outdoors and shared this with her family on camping trips. She enjoyed life climbing to the top of Mt. Whitney, soloing in a Cessna airplane and traveling as much as she could.
She read vociferously and enjoyed a good glass of wine, a strong cup of coffee and a quality piece of chocolate.
