Born of loving parents Ira and Claudine McDowell, on September 18th, 1926 in Marlow Oklahoma, passed away May 11th, 2012 at the age of 85. As a child her family moved to Hollywood California, where she spent the majority of her youth attending Hollywood High School. As a teen Peggy worked in the movies as a back up dancer, and chorus girl in many musical films, and one of her favorite memories was dancing with Donald O'Connor . In 1942 Peggy married William Robert Udink and they had four sons, Bill, John, Roger and Russell. She and her husband worked together at Jeffries Banknote Company in Los Angeles, while raising their four boys in Baldwin Park. Mr. Udink passed away in 1981, and Peggy moved to the San Jacinto Valley to be near, and care for, her parents. During that time Peggy took a job with the Southland Corporation to stay busy, and within a month she was running her own training store. In 1983 she met the second love of her life Robert Burns and they were married, the following year. Peggy and Bob enjoyed their retirement as proud members of the Seven-Hills community and spent their time golfing, entertaining, traveling, and spending time with family. They spent 23 happily married years together until his death in 2007. In the last few years Peggy still enjoyed entertaining at her home, and taking beach vacations with her family and friends. Peggy Jo is survived by her four sons, 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
