Oscar Wayne Alexander, 79, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 in Moreno Valley California. He was born April 13, 1935 to John and Corene Alexander in Birmingham Alabama. On November 17, 1954 he married the love of his life Vivian Perry.
He retired as Master Chief Petty Officer after proudly serving 32 years in the United States Navy.
Oscar had a smile that could light up the room. His laughter was contagious and his kindness knew no limits. He was an adoring husband, the father you could confide in, the grandfather that enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren, and the friend you could always count on. He made everyone he came in contact with feel at ease and cared for.
It is hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember.
Oscar was dearly loved and he will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 60 years, Vivian, his sons, Reginald (Dorothy) Alexander, Derrick Alexander both of Moreno Valley California, His daughter Karen (Eddie) Jordan of El Centro California, 4 grandchildren, Marques Alexander, Stephanie Alexander Anderson (James) of Moreno Valley California, Heather Jordan and Alanna Jordan of San Diego California. 1 Sister, Vivian Jones of Birmingham Alabama and 1 brother Jack Preston Alexander of Detroit Michigan, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Dorthenia Bester, Hazel Marshall and his daughter-in-law Dorothy Alexander.
