Mark Scott Bissell passed away at his residence in San Jacinto, California on Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at the age of 60, born on August 13th, 1961, in Hemet, California. He is survived by his wife Marcia Bissell, married for 27 years.
Mark loved tinkering on his many vehicle projects. Every year he would do a little more work on the “Bitchen Camero” he bought when he was a teenager, as he slowly restored it back to it’s original condition. He kept his Lazy Daze RV running and we had lots of great family trips to Havasu and San Diego with it. The Howard Johnson boat spent as many days being worked on as it spent in the water, but every hard-fought day on the water was fun and is now a priceless memory. Mark drove around his orange buggy when he wanted some wind in his hair, and even drove the buggy to Temecula to buy a BMW Z4 less than a week before his passing. The last 2 days of his life he put 400 miles on his new Z4 blasting KLOS and driving fast. Mark loved life, and he shared that love of everything adventure with his wife and sons. In addition to loving cars, motorsports, and water sports, Mark absolutely loved Rock Music, while having a distinct contempt and hatred for Disco music.
Lake Havasu had a special place in Mark’s heart. If you’re in Havasu, take a walk down the Havasu Memorial Parkway and look for the brick we are adding in his memory.
He is survived by his wife Marcia; son Michael Bissell, step-son Michael Monlux, and step-son Arnold Tijerina; his brothers, Jack and Jan Bissell; and step-granddaughter Catelyn.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, John and Beverly Bissell.
Mark spent his entire life living in the Hemet area, and his many friends will miss him, and will cherish countless fond memories of a fun loving and outgoing man.
Mark is very loved and greatly missed by his family and the many friends. Until we see you again.
