Lorenzo “Larry” Tenorio, of the late Philip and Rosario Tenorio, passed away at St. Luke’s Medical Center, in Quezon City, Manilla, Philippines, after suffering complications from a heart attack and pneumonia. He was born August 11, 1947 in Camarines Sur, Bicol, Philippines, where he spent his childhood and graduated high school. After high school, he moved to Manilla for work at a construction company, and met his late wife, Alicia Ponce, whom he married on January 26, 1974, for 41 years.
Later on, in 1974, he immigrated with his wife to Manhattan, New York, USA, and then moved to San Diego, California in 1978. There he raised his two children, Alan and Liza, and worked in Material Handling for over 30 years.
Larry always had a positive outlook on life. He was a God loving man with a strong faith, always kind, generous, funny, and with a caring heart. He loved to sing karaoke, especially for his wife. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and learning and using new technology, from the latest cellphone and cars. He was even planning on going back to school to earn his degree prior to his death.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Judai Menchavez Ignacio, his children, Alan and Jessica Tenorio, Liza and Michael Alvarado, John Lorenz Ignacio Tenorio, and seven grandchildren: Devon, Jazmine, A.J., Nathan, Lorenz, Mikey, and Noah.
Lolo, you will forever be missed, but never forgotten, because your legacy and dreams will live on through the lives of those you have touched. We love you always!
