Lois Ann Martynec

Lois Ann McMellon was born October 22, 1929 and passed away on September 27, 2022. She is survived by her brother; Everett Alan McMellon, her three children; Joyce Miller, Cindy Melton and Taffy Guillen as well as 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Thomas McMellon and Beatrice Swanson McMellon. Her siblings were Dorothy McMellon Leggett, Thomas McMellon and Everett McMellon. She received an AA degree and majored in business at Larson college.

While working in Washington DC, she met Robert Melton and they married shortly after. They had 3 children and lived in Virginia, Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. The marriage ended and she and her 3 daughters moved to Connecticut and then to California.

She worked as an executive secretary for many years. In her forties, she got a position with the American Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela for 2 years and then transferred to Lisbon Portugal. While in Portugal, she made a much wanted trip to Israel.

She married Michael Martynec at the age of 70- and they were together for 12 years. They had made their home in Oceanside. She moved back to Orange County and then to Hemet.
