Libbirota "Libby" Elizabeth Quigley

Libbirota Elizabeth Quigley passed away peacefully on March 11, 2020 in Perris, CA. Known all of her life as Libby, she was born July 30, 1932 in Mahopac, NY. to Italian immigrants Giovanni “John” Astrologo and Laura Antonucci Astrologo of San Valentino, Italy. Eventually settling in Peekskill, NY, John and Laura were parents of eight children, including one set of twins, Libby and Laura. A long time Peekskill resident, Libby went to Peekskill High School, later attending school to become a Hair Dresser. She also worked at General Motors in Tarrytown, NY where she eventually met James Joseph Quigley Jr. James and Libby were wed on March 12, 1966. Libby was full of fun, always finding ways to laugh and enjoy the company of friends and family. Libby held a strong loving bond with her siblings and often found time for many get-togethers where they would talk and argue into the wee hours over many pots of coffee and Italian cookies.

Libby is survived by her Son Marc (Suzanne) Quigley, Grandchildren Noah and Cameron, Stepchildren Kenneth, Cynthia and James III, plus many nieces, nephews and extended relatives. She was predeceased by her Husband James Quigley Jr., and all seven of her siblings, John Astrologo Jr., Nicky Smith, Filomena “Fannie” Colabatistto, Yolanda Riva, Camillo Astrologo, Josephine Wiese and twin sister Laura Russo.
