July 27, 1952 - May 31, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished father, devoted husband, proud grandfather and friend to many. Larry was surrounded by his loving family as he peacefully journeyed into eternity.
Larry brought an abundance of laughter into the lives of all who knew him. Larry was a natural-born jokester, someone who effortlessly brought smiles and laughter to everyone around him. With a quick wit and a clever mind, he knew exactly how to light up any room and turn even the dullest moments into hilarious memories.
As a dedicated and loving father, he poured his heart and soul into raising his children, guiding them with wisdom, and nurturing them with unconditional love. He was their biggest cheerleader, supporting them in every endeavor and celebrating their achievements with pride.
Beyond his role as a father, Larry was a devoted husband to his beloved spouse, Shaye. Larry and Shaye celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2022. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
When Larry, a loyal dog lover, wasn't spending time with his loved ones, he could often be found pursuing his passions. He enjoyed traveling, playing pool, cooking, outdoor activities like hiking and camping, softball, and cheering on the LA Dodgers. Larry, a skilled carpenter, constructed numerous establishments and residences throughout California, including the San Jacinto Valley. His love for dogs was evident in every aspect of his life.
Larry was deeply cherished and found immense joy in his life. His family finds comfort in the knowledge that he deeply loved them and took great pride in each and every one of them.
While our hearts ache at the loss of such an extraordinary man, we find solace in the profound impact Larry Roberson had on our lives. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be etched in our hearts.
Let us remember to live each day to the fullest, cherish our loved ones, and spread laughter and love wherever we go.
Larry is survived by his loving spouse, Shaye, his children Lanissa Weddington (Khaleel), Larry Roberson Jr. (Jacqueline), Lacy Hughes (Jordan), his grandchildren Rakim, Kenadee, Liam, Ava, Colton and a host of relatives and friends who will forever hold him dear in their hearts.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held at McWane Family Funeral Home on June 16th. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Larry Roberson's name to UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center @ https://giveto.ucsd.edu/giving/home/gift-referral/c5ed27e7-9f35-41a3-bf51-74eb34105478
