Born Sunday, October 26, 1947 in Danville, Illinois, he was the son of the late Howard Barnes, Sr. and the late Mildred (Limouge) Barnes. He was the husband of Sheila Barnes.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and spent his 30-year career as a machinist with several companies.
Kenneth was a big-hearted family man who was always there for his kids and grandchildren. He adored and loved them all.
He enjoyed going on road trips with his family to take in all of the beauty of the country. He was a country and an oldies but goodies music fan, one of his favorite groups was Dion and the Belmonts. Kenneth was also a very good cook. He loved chocolate - Milky Way bars were his favorite - and mac and cheese. One of his favorite local restaurants was Patsy’s Country Kitchen in San Jacinto.
Kenneth was a friendly, outgoing guy and a people person. He would easily make friends with anyone anywhere, whether it was in a grocery store or restaurant. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Barnes, daughter, Michele Bower, son, Kenneth Barnes, Jr., daughters, Shirley Barnes, Stacy Smith and Sarah Barnes; brothers David Barnes, Howard Barnes, Donald Barnes, Charles Barnes and Randy Barnes; sisters, Cathy Daubert, Cynthia Reed, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brother, Jerry Barnes.
Interment will be in Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
