Kathleen Elizabeth McPherson

Kathy always loved decorating, crafting and teaching. As a teenager she began her career painting and designing multiple school banners, holiday windows and school floats. Her career as a Pre-School teacher at Redlands Play School began in 1978-82. Kathy slipped a disk in her back while working with the kids and had to resign after back surgery in 1982. This launched her Tole Painting career where she taught classes, designed wood pieces and wrote 5 instructional books over the span of the next 20 years. She earned her CDA (Certified Decorative Artist) certificate May 15th 1997. Kathy continued to share her talents by volunteering her time at her church (in a variety of activities and being on the decorating committee).

Kathy is survived by her husband Steve, Brother Dennis Hare of Mentone CA, daughter Krista, daughter-in-law Jolene, and grandchildren Taylor, Nikki, Tori, Hannah and Haley and a number of other family members. Kathy was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Mathew in 2007.

Kathy is finally free of pain and is now rejoicing in heaven with her son Doug and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Psalm 118:5 "In my anguish I cried to the Lord and he answered by setting me free."
