Jane Giehl, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away on February 15, 2023, at the age of 91. Jane was a native of Syracuse, New York, born in 1931 to her parents Flossie and Edward, who raised her in a loving home. She was a kind, thoughtful, and generous person who touched the lives of everyone she met.
Jane's life changed forever when she met her husband, Bill, on a blind date just after high school. They married and settled in Rochester, New York, where they started their family, raising three children. Later, they moved to California and completed their family with two more children.
Jane's dedication to her children's education was evident in the countless hours she volunteered at their schools. The family settled on a lovely street in Anaheim, where they forged lifelong friendships with their neighbors. Her children grew up with fond memories of their mother's love and kindness.
In her early 40s, Jane embarked on a career outside of the home, working in the Savings & Loan business. Over the next fifteen years, she rose through the ranks, from secretary to Assistant Vice President, demonstrating her commitment to hard work and her natural leadership ability.
Jane and Bill later moved to Hemet, where they took up golf. Jane had a natural talent for the sport, and over the years made not one, but two Hole-In-One shots, a testament to her love of the game and her dedication to perfecting her skills. Jane volunteered in the Women’s Club at their golf course and along with her husband frequently hosted parties for their many friends.
Jane will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and friend. Her generosity of spirit and kind heart will be missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of her loving husband, Bill, who passed away in 2018.
