Born Saturday, September 24, 1927 in New York, New York. She was the wife of George Hamilton. They lived in Burbank for 35 years before moving to Hemet.
Irene spent 50 years in the food service industry and loved to bake, and she made the best peanut butter cookies that melt in your mouth. Even after she retired, she enjoyed making food for luncheons held at the Hemet West Mobile Estates where she lived.
She also loved to dance, and was a member of the Hemet West Dance Club. She loved to Karaoke, and Irene was a passionate baseball and football fan. She loved the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions.
Surviving are son, Bill Heidenberger, daughter, Carol Maurer, brother, Pete Kosowska, grandchildren, Christopher Maurer, Matthew Maurer and great grandchild, Steele Maurer.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Hamilton, father, Andrew Kosowska, mother, Mary Stanlonki and sister, Sophie Kaye.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 6, 2018, at Miller-Jones Hemet Mortuary, 1501 W Florida Ave , Hemet, California .
A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at Shepard of the Valley Lutheran Church located at 11650 Perris Blvd. Moreno Valley, California 92557. A graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA at 12:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations in Irene's name to the Braille Institute.
