George Hayes

George Hayes, passed away at the age of 82, on Saturday, July 13, 2019, in Hemet, California. He was born on Thursday, March 18, 1937, in Alhambra, California, to the late George and Marie (Hannen) Hayes. George serviced in the US Army for eight years from 1955-1963. He was married to the love of his life, his best friend, Ardis Hayes, for 48 years before her passing in 2006. They were both blessed with two caring children: Robbin Ausmus and Robert Hayes; 3 wonderful grandchildren: Aaron, Bridgette, and Kenneth; and 1 adoring great-granddaughter: Sofia. George enjoyed playing cards and fishing at Lake Skinner and at the Fisherman’s Retreat. His freezer was abundantly filled with fish. George joined the Lawn Bowling and the Shuffleboard team in 2006. He was very active in VFW-Post 53 American Legion. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019, from 4:00pm-5:00pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00pm, at Miller-Jones Mortuary located at 1501 W. Florida Ave. Hemet, CA 92543. Refreshments will immediately follow. Interment will be held privately at Riverside National Cemetery. Cards and Flowers may be sent to Miller-Jones Mortuary.
