Ella Frances McNair was born in 1926 in Sarasota, Florida, the eldest child of the late Emmett and Reffie Pope. She passed away on May 30, 2018 at her home in Hemet, California, at the age 91, after a long illness. Fran wore many "hats" in her lifetime. Among other things, she sang with the USO during WWII, owned and operated a florist shop, and later a dog grooming business. She also owned apartments. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Stansbury, and her husband, Jack McNair. She is survived by her son, Robert Stansbury, granddaughter Adia Stansbury, and four brothers and their spouses, Frank (Martha), Jack (Riki), Dan (Dana), and Terry (Janyce), as well as a number of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to Fran's brother Terry, for his devotion to her care as her administrator, and to her caregiver Nina, for her exceptional dedication for so many years. Services are pending, and will be private.
