He was a proud veteran and retiree of the United States Air Force after serving over 21 years. He also retired from Pacific Forge Foundry, Fontana, CA after almost 20 years. He was proud of his status in the Knights of Columbus at St. Christopher's Catholic Church as a Knight of the Fourth Degree. Those who knew Dad knew his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and in later years - his great-grandchildren too. He loved music, dancing, baseball and watching Westerns, especially if they included John Wayne. During his recent stays at the skilled nursing facilities, he brought quite a chuckle to his caretakers when he would proudly display his recent delivery of homemade salsa or fresh jalapeno peppers for his meals.
