Edith Elaine Brown

Edith Elaine Brown (“Laney”) of Hemet CA was born in McLeansboro Illinois on 03/08/1945 and passed away in her home on 08/27/2024. She was preceded in death by her father Edward William Gigliotti (d 12/21/1995) and mother Ella Fern Gigliotti (d 05/11/2016). Siblings preceding her in death were Lynda Mitchell (d 05/1988) and Edward Gigliotti Jr. (Eddie) (d 02/2020). She is survived by her brother Phillip Gigliotti of Hemet CA and sister Patricia Walter of San Dimas CA. Survivors also include her two sons Paul Tani (Westchester CA) and Kevin Tan (San Francisco CA). Laney taught English while living in Thailand. Upon returning to Redondo Beach CA, she developed a love for gems and fine jewelry while working retail at Morgans in Torrance CA. Before moving to Hemet, Laney also lived in Cambria and later Coarsegold CA. She also worked with her husband at Bud’s Coin and Stamps. She loved dwelling with her animals, especially her horses (miniature and Icelandic), Dachshund dogs and African Grey bird. She died a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and looked forward to the wonders of heaven. The pallbearers will be her two sons, brother, and nephews Ryan Gigliotti, Keith Gigliotti and Duane Jackson.

A visitation for Edith will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Miller-Jones Mortuary, 1501 W. Florida Ave, Hemet, California 92543. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery, 2555 S. Santa Fe Ave., San Jacinto, CA 92583.
