Charles B. Head Jr. PhD, 81, of Hemet, California passed away at home surrounded by his children on Wednesday, September 6th 2017. He is survived by his daughter, his three sons, a brother, and two grandchildren.
Born in 1935 to Charles Sr. and Neita Head in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Charles lived most of his life in California. He earned a double major in Religion and English and a Masters in Psychology from Pepperdine University, a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. He arrived in Hemet in 1969 as the first Program Director of the Hemet Hospital Mental Health Center. Most of his later life was spent in private practice in Hemet as a psychologist where he raised his children.
Dr. Head was a loving father and friend, an intellectual, psychologist, theologian, and humorist.
