Bonnie Jean Lyons was born on July 4, 1947 in Minnesota. She loved to tell the story out how she came out west in an old school bus with her stepfather behind the wheel. They stopped for a few years in Arizona where she was crowned Fiesta Queen.
It was in California where she met the man of her dreams, Bob Lyons. Her and Bob had three daughters, Tammy, Tanya and Tracy. She was a homemaker who loved taking care of not only her children but the neighborhood children. All the neighborhood children would gather at her home in Westminster, California. Her door was always open for friends and family who just needed a place to stay. She was very giving and never turned anyone down
Bonnie made custom dresses for her girls, all matching which they were not found of, but she loved to sew. She could have been a designer as she was a very skilled seamstress. That was not her only artistic calling. She loved to paint. Every year she would paint Christmas ornaments for her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Tammy, Tanya and Tracy; grandchildren: Ahjia, Gina, Tannielle, Joseph, Christian, Miranda and Jacob, Braydan, and Penelope; her sisters: Judy, Yvonne, Connie; and her brothers: Kim, Tim, Randy, Ronnie, Rodney and Shawn.
A memorial service will be held on August 26, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at McWane Funeral Home located at 350 N. San Jacinto St., Hemet, CA. 92543
