Carolina. She was the fourth of 7 children.
Having later moved to Baltimore, Maryland, Betty had two children, Narcia and Everic.
Betty loved music, especially Motown. She could often be heard humming her favorite songs
while going about her day.
An avid puzzle-solver, she consumed all kinds of crosswords, sudoku, jigsaw puzzles, etc. She
loved TV game shows; she was a dedicated player of Jeopardy, Family Feud, and Wheel of
Fortune.
Throughout her life, Betty was a central member to her family; caring longterm for her
grandchildren, nieces, and nephews while their parents were away. Whether it be deployment,
or unforeseen circumstances; her grandsons Jermell, Dimitris, and Ashai, granddaughters
Kierra and Kiana; or her niece and great nephews: Rene, Quentin, and Antoine Liles, were
always provided for.
Later in life, Betty made the cross country journey to live in Southern California, with her
daughter.
On October 28,2024 Betty went to her rest, with her family present.
Betty is survived by her sister, Vanessa Leak-Jefferson; her children Narcia Barriteau and Everic
Jefferson; and her multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews,cousins
and family friends.
