Bessie Mae Fields was born to Limmie and Cavella Fields May 22, 1942 in Egypt MS.
In her youth being raised in the south she picked cotton in the field while at the same time being taken care of by some of her older siblings. She was married at the age of 16 and became mother of 5 children in that union, later she had 2 more children, 5 sons, 2 daughters. Bessie gave her life to Christ very young in Mississippi.
In 1971 she and her 5 children moved to California where she had 2 more children, she was a single parent being mom and dad, to her kids. Bessie would help anyone and anybody. She would give you the shirt off her back. Bessie Mae Fields was very strong-minded, determined, loving but very outspoken.
She battled with her health for a year before God called her home. In Hemet Hospital is where her fight was over at 78 years young. Her husband Willie James Fields passed away before her. Two of her children preceded her in death, Cedric Fields, Willie James Fields Jr. Her surviving children, Nikita Fields of Los Angeles, Juan Eric Fields, Vincent Fields, who lives in SC. Nichole Smith, Choi Bailey, her grandchildren all reside in CA.
From her daughter Nichole Smith, who she lived with most of the time with Limmie Davis, Antwoniece Crowell, Romen Bailey, Jasmine Crowell, Drienisha Smith, Isreal Smith and her great grandchildren of whom she was always around, a host of grandkids and great grandkids and family members. She had 7 brothers.
