Barbara Bierman, 81 of Hemet, California passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017. She was born on Friday, January 31, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA to Donald and Elizabeth Doughty. Barbara is preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Leon, who passed away in 2007. She is survived by her two children, Kathy Rabin and Ken Bowser (Chris), two sisters, Carol Echandi and Melba Murdock, her sister-in-law, Ann Doughty, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her dogs Typsy and Tuffy.
Barbara was a strong willed, determined woman, who was fiercely proud of her family. She loved to have her family together to cook for on holidays, and to celebrate birthdays. She was most famous for her "stick togethers" (macaroni and cheese), German chocolate birthday cakes made from scratch, Barooks at Christmas, and Easter Egg Poke Cakes. She also loved to play Words with Friends on her computer, and playing the Keno machines at Soboba. She had quite the sense of humor and delighted her friends and family with much laughter.
In years past, Barbara was an avid traveler. She, and her husband Leon, would travel all over the country in their RV. Together, they were also camp hosts in Bridgeport, CA, which was their favorite place to go.
Barbara was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her.
