Surrounded by family, Allen Leon Windham, 69, passed away on November 23, 2018, at Hemet Valley Medical Center, in Hemet, California. Allen was born on February 10, 1949, in Compton, California, to his late father Harmon Edgar Windham, and late mother Lorene Elnora (McDonald) Windham.
On June 6, 1981 Allen married the love of his life Shelli Ann (Hall) Windham, who he spent thirty seven amazing years and had two beautiful children, Alisha Windham and Harlin Windham. Allen had a special ability to light up a room and bring a smile to an old friend's face just as easy as a new acquaintance. Everyone loved Allen's wit and sense of humor, as well as his kind and loving ways. Allen was an extraordinary man in many areas of his life. He was a great husband, father and grandfather to Chase Windham, Levi Racobs, and Grace Windham who he adored. Allen was a hardworking man, he worked many years in the lighting industry and later retired working in the door and millwork industry. He enjoyed sports, especially football. He was a loyal Charger fan and was very proud when his grandson received a football scholarship for college. He enjoyed back yard gardening and taking unplanned road trips with his wife. One of his favorite places to visit was Newport Beach where he'd stop at Charlie's Chili and grab a chili cheese omelet or as he would call it a CCO.
Allen is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, Margaret Bates, Carol Hobson, and Roxy Castanares. Also his loved sisters in law, Sara Glibbery and Barbara Devoll. He was a wonderful, amazing soul, that had faith in Jesus Christ as his savior and believed in eternal life beyond this world. Allen will be missed by many and forever loved.
