Randy Gale Baldridge was born August 18, 1949 in Shell Lake, WI the son of Porter and Bernice (Rawlingson) Baldridge. He was raised in Stone Lake and graduated from Hayward High School in 1966. Randy attended WITC in Superior, WI and then joined the U.S. Navy and served during Vietnam. He served for six years and was stationed on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier. While serving he earned the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. On April 21, 1977 Randy was honorably discharged from the Navy and returned to Stone Lake, WI. Randy was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Betts” Ludka on May 10, 1980 in Stone Lake at the First Lutheran Church. He went to work at Northern Lakes Coop in their grocery department and served as Assistant Grocery Manager for 30+ years. Randy enjoyed woodworking, camping, reading, fishing, watching wildlife and trips to the casino. He was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Stone Lake Fire Department.
Randy is survived by his wife, Betts; son, Will (Sara) Baldridge of Kenosha, WI; four grandchildren, Billy, Lexi, Madi and Brooke Baldridge; one brother, Porter (Pat) Baldridge of Whidbey Island, WA; two sisters, Candy (Wally) Koehler of Rice Lake, WI, Vicki (Marty) Fankhauser of Chippewa Falls, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A military honors service will be held for Randy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, at Evergreen Cemetery in Stone Lake, WI followed by an open house at the Stone Lake Fire Hall.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Stone Lake Fire Department.
