Hazel Florence Ring

Hazel R. Ring, age 97, of Hayward, WI died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Care Partners Assisted Living, where she had been living for the last three months. Prior to that, she had been a resident at Fran Mar Apartments in Hayward.

Hazel was born January 29, 1917 to Ida (Jones) and William Cross. She was joined in marriage to Charles Ring in April 1976.

She is survived by her children Walter (Mary Ann) Watland of Blaine, MN and Virginia (Gene) Gochenohr of Portland OR; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister Alice Watland of Superior, WI.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband Charles in May 2006; two grandchildren; four brother and two sisters.

Funeral Services for Hazel will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 4 at First Lutheran Church in Hayward with Pastor Scott Ludford officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
