Robert Blake

August 12, 1949 – April 5, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Blake, age 75, on April 5, 2025, in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. Born on August 12, 1949, in the Bronx, NY, Robert lived a life full of warmth – literally and figuratively.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Marlene; his sons, Jonathan and Daniel; his daughter-in-law, Jenna; and his grandchildren, Carter and Emily, who he often spoiled with “extra candy” because “grandparents can get away with it.” He was predeceased by his parents, Bennett and Dorothy Blake, who undoubtedly taught him how to be both generous and stubborn – a trait Robert embraced fully.

For over 40 years, Robert owned and operated his HVAC & Refrigeration company, where he wasn’t just known for keeping things cool – he also knew how to warm hearts. His reputation for honesty, skill, and kindness was legendary, and he was a go-to guy when things went “south” (in more ways than one). If you ever needed help, Robert was the man to call – even if it was just to fix the air conditioning on a sweltering summer day, which, of course, he’d do with a smile and a joke. Robert was rarely without his RAM truck and a cigar, always ready for the next journey with his signature style.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Please come and share in remembering Robert, who was as cool as the air he kept running, but with a heart just as warm.
