Merrill Paletsky

Merrill Paletsky, age 71, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2024 surrounded by her loving husband of 51 years, Steven, and her three children: son, Faullin Paletsky, and daughters, Stacey Goldstein and Jessica Paletsky. She also leaves behind daughter-in-law Brenna Paletsky, son-in-law Morrie Goldstein, and two beloved grandchildren: Micah Goldstein and Lily Goldstein. As well as her brother, Stuart Janousky (wife Peggy) and brother-in-law, Bernie Kerachsky (wife Arline of blessed memory). She also leaves behind a niece, three nephews, and a wealth of loving cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Joseph and Lila Janousky.

Merrill was born in Long Island, and moved to Charleston, SC at the age of 13. While attending the College of Charleston, she met Steven, and it was love at first sight. They married at the ages of 19 and 23 and spent 51 years moving from Charleston to Syracuse, NY to Medina, OH and finally to Fort Myers, FL. Merrill was known for her intense flair; sparkly outfits, purple hair, and elegant nails were just the outward showing of her love for life. She was a loyal friend to all who met her and never had an unkind word for anyone. She loved her family, her cats, her coffee (her family never spoke to her in the mornings until she drank it!), and chocolate.

Merrill was a blessing to everyone lucky enough to know her. She will be forever missed.
