The Final Salute
	
“Brothers and Sisters-in-Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to William R. (Bill) Ford our “Brother-in-Arms”.   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Bill.   To Bill it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Koran and Vietnam Wars while serving in the U.S. Air Force.  Bill, we commend you for your honorable 20 years of  military service.  You are a true patriot, who served your nation and your community with honor and distinction. You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country.  You were a true friend. We bid you a sad farewell.  You will be dearly missed from among our ranks.  GOD Bless you. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace.

Although we never met your dad, if even just a trace of your vivacious personality came from him, we know we would have loved him as much as we love you.

Mr Ford, I'm so sad to hear of you leaving us. Even though I know you're in a better place I will still miss our little chats sitting at the kitchen table sipping on a couple of shots here and there. Gonna miss you my friend and your wife and family will be in my prayers. I'll see you again one day and we'll catch up.

Mr Ford "Pop"..You will be so very much missed. All the laughs, cries, frustration, micromanaging you and I both did. Which in a way we tried to see who could out do each other. I loved and will miss all the history we talked about, all the  football games. " Oh how I teased you about your favorite QB " Tom Brady" vs " my favorite QB "Drew Brees" haha and how he loved going to watch his grandsons play  baseball. Even all the spiritual discussion we had, down to quoting scriptures. Loved all the wisdom you had to share and all the stories we shared. Didn't matter the story. And all the westerns we all three watched...
You were and always will be like a second Dad to me..I will miss blending your own tobacco.  I will miss putting you in time out " the front living room"  for those that didn't know Pop was always being put in timeout..at his young hearted age. Haha! Even going back and forth over doctor appointments whether you should go or cancel..so you would cancel when I leave.. 😆 I will and have missed those tight long good bye hugs sounding like a grizzly bear as Mom would put it.
You are now in a much better place in your new castle with a new micromanager pro. Lord will be happy for his new addition to his house of grace.... I love you from the bottom of my heart. I promise I will keep an eye on Mom "Ma" as you call her. I promise I'll give her a hugh hug for you and a kiss on her cheek. Now live your second life to the fullest....
