DOYLINE, LA – Services celebrating the life of Victor Oliver Clark will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017. Military honors will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Victor was born to Laura and Frank Clark, Sr. in Citronelle, AL on March 24, 1933 and passed away May 11, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. He had a high school education and became a Russian linguist in nine months. He spent over 20 years in the armed service of this country. He worked the top secret sector intercepting Russian messages during the Cold War. He loved baseball and played fast pitch soft ball. He loved working on all things mechanical. From clocks to cars, he could disassemble, reassemble, and they would work! He was a supporter of Wounded Warriors as well as many other charitable organizations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Laura Clark.
Victor is survived by his wife, LaRue Clark; children, Joseph Michael Clark, Gary Phillip Clark and wife Sherry, Victor Todd Clark and wife Judi, Renee Dianne Clark and husband Carl; grandchildren, Kristina, Valerie, Rowan, Jared, Zachary, and Amanda; great grandchildren, Courtney, Maegan, Delton and Christhian (Jr.)
