My deepest sympathy and prayers are with the Charles Family.  A lasting memory that I will always have of Toney was the day he was dressed in his military uniform to pay his respects at Sherry Allgood's funeral.  I remember thinking what an awesome person he was!!!!!!!! He will be greatly missed!!!!!!!!!

I will miss Toney's ever present smile and hug I got on Sundays and the joking....and miss seeing him in his dress blues on the special times that the active and retired military wore those to church. He was special.Have been holding him and all the family close in thoughts and prayers and will continue to do so.

Mr Toney was a wonderful man. The first time i ever met him he was warm & welcoming to me. It was truely a precious priceless gift to spend any amount of time with him. My thoughts are prayers are with his beautiful wonderful family. I am so sorry for thier loss.. Mr Toney is Heaven's gain. I love you all so very much.

To the Charles family, you have my sympathies and my condolences. I will lift you up in prayers daily. I was saddened to hear of Bro. Toney's passing, but rejoice in the assurance, that we will see him again in heaven. He was such a wonderful example, to me in my life.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Toney L. Charles, Sr. our “Brother-in-Arms”.   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Toney.   And to Toney it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during the Vietnam War while serving in the U.S. Air Force.  Toney, you are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction.  We bid you a sad farewell.  You will be dearly missed from among our ranks.  Be at Ease.  Rest in Peace.
