Funeral services for Sally L. Volz will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hill Crest Memorial chapel. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Pierce will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Sally was born May 8, 1942 in Frankfort, IN and passed away January 1, 2013 in Shreveport, LA. She married her husband, Philip Volz in 1962 and faithfully shared the experiences of his Air Force career and finally planted deep roots in Bossier City in 1977. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved gardening, beading and being with her grandchildren. Sally was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the MOCA. She loved to dress in one of her many clown outfits and bring a little joy to our hospitalized veterans.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Grace Paddock Padgett, her brother, Donald Padgett and son, Timothy Volz.

Sally is survived by her husband, Philip Volz, daughter, Karin Monse, son, Mark Volz and wife Melissa; and grandchildren, Will and Matthew Volz and Cody and Sarah Green.
