Roselle "Rose" Turner

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Bro. Harrell Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park next to her husband. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Willie B. Turner; infant son and his father, Wilbur R. Manis; her parents; one brother, nine half-siblings and ten step siblings.

Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Jean Bookout; grandchildren, Jimmy and his daughter Patience, Robby and wife Lori and their children: Brittany (Dave) and their son Clyde, Brandon (Katelyn), Jeannie Rose (Dave) and their children: Cody (Alexa), Cayleb and Hailey; stepsons: Ronnie Turner, Rickey Turner (Penny); and one sister, Sandra Modisette (Butch).

Rose moved to Bossier City in 1943 and enjoyed thirty seven years in the banking industry serving as Vice President at several banks. She continued to be active in Airline Baptist Church and The American Business Women's Association. In 1965 she served as the charter president of the first ABWA Chapter in Bossier City. She was elected as one of the Top Ten ABWA women in 1972, and has been an active member since 1965.

Pallbearers will be Cayleb Bounds, Brandon Bookout, Robby Bookout, Jimmy Bookout, Dave Spolarich and Rickey Turner.
