Robin Everett Weimar of Shreveport, LA, passed away at home on October 20, 2019. She fought the good fight against breast cancer for fifteen years and is now with the Lord, at peace, with no more pain or suffering.
Robin was born September 7, 1956 in Spokane, Washington, to John and Faye Everett. She is survived by her husband, Jason Weimar of Shreveport; her children, Stephanie and husband Cass Mabou of New Orleans, Sophia and husband Dr. T.J. Smith of Diamondhead, and Jason Everett Weimar, who is working towards his doctorate at Johns Hopkins University; her mother, Faye Everett of Shreveport; and her siblings Mary Beth Burney, Rosa Yvonne Van Zyl, John William Everett Jr., Michael Spurgeon Everett, and Rumney Charles Everett.
Robin was a wonderful mother, a beloved wife, and a devout follower of Christ. She spent most of her adult life nurturing and caring for her family and friends. She enjoyed being with her work family at Caddo Magnet and Byrd High School and her church family at First Baptist Bossier. Their friendship and support gave Robin great joy and eased the burden of her illnesses.
The family is thankful for the great care given by Dr. Robert Nickelson and his staff at Willis-Knighton Cancer Center and also by the hospice team at Willis-Knighton. They extended Robin’s life expectancy with a high quality of life.
There will be a visitation Saturday from 1 to 4 pm at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton. The graveside service will begin shortly after the visitation at the Hill Crest Cemetery with the Reverend Ed Baswell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make contributions to First Baptist Bossier’s Fire Recovery Fund.
