It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert T. Spivey Sr., who passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, in Lake Village, Arkansas. Born on July 11, 1948, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Robert lived a life devoted to his faith, family, and service to others.
Robert is preceded in death by Samuel P. Spivey Sr, Gloria C. Spivey and Shirley L Spivey. He is survived by wife, Patti Spivey, and his children: Robert T. Spivey Jr., Jesse P. Spivey, Shelley L. Spivey, and Jeremy D. Spivey. He was the proud grandfather of fifteen grandchildren who brought him immense joy and pride.
A man of unwavering faith and dedication, Robert served as a Pastor, Music Minister, Pulaski County Sheriff Reserve Deputy, Police Officer at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and chaplain. His work and ministry touched countless lives, offering guidance, hope, and love to all who crossed his path. Whether through his sermons, music, or service in law enforcement, he was a source of inspiration and comfort to his community.
Robert was a man of many talents and boundless compassion, always putting the needs of others before his own. His legacy is one of love, humility, and selfless service, which will continue to inspire his family and those who knew him.
A visitation and viewing will be held Tuesday January 14th at Hill Crest Memorial, 601 Hwy 80 E. Haughton, Louisiana 71037, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A funeral celebrating Robert’s life and faith will be held on January 15th at 10:00 AM at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel in Haughton, La, where family and friends are invited to honor his memory and the extraordinary life he led.
Honoring Robert as pallbearers are Anthony Spivey, Patrick Spivey, Paul Spivey, Robby Spivey, Wyatt Spivey, and Wesley Dewhurst.
