She was preceded in death by her parents, William Louis Thomas and Lois Earlene Thomas and her grandson Colton Michael Garrett Stacy.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her loving husband Jackie Cooper Waggoner of Bossier City, LA; Her son Curtis Lee Waggoner and wife Kena of Athens, LA; her daughter Deidra Ann Stacy and husband Michael of Haughton, LA; her son Thomas Cooper Waggoner and wife Dorrie of Haughton, LA; her sister Sharron Kay Smith and husband Mike of Benton, LA; her sister Deborah Lynn Flowers of Rodessa, LA; her brother Ronald Leonard Thomas of Casper, WY; her grandchildren Elizabeth Marie Reeme and her husband Colby, Drew William Doss Waggoner and his wife BriAnna, Dylan Cooper Waggoner and his finance’ Grace, Matthew Thomas Waggoner and Autumn Brooke Stacy; her great grandchildren Henry David Waggoner, Bentley Scott Freeland, and Nicholas Doss Waggoner; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Becky was born November 24, 1942, in Vivian, LA. She graduated from Bossier High School in 1960. She attended Ayers Business School after graduation. She married the love of her life, Jackie Waggoner, on December 23, 1960. They enjoyed 62 years together. Family was very important to Becky. She was so proud of her three children and all their accomplishments. She supported all her grandchildren in all their activities. She worked at Bossier Medical Center as a secretary for 20 years, then 5 years at Christus Shumpert before retiring. After retirement she worked at Hallmark in Pierre Bossier Mall for several years. She had a passion for collecting Hallmark Christmas ornaments and decorating her trees with them for Christmas. She loved to cross stitch, work puzzles and could shoot the wings off a locust. She loved spending time with family and friends at Lake Greeson over the past 65 years. Many memories are wrapped up in our time with her there. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Bossier.
Pallbearers - Drew Waggoner, Dylan Waggoner, Matthew Waggoner, Colby Reeme, Kevin Smith, and Michael Dunman: Honorary Pallbearers will be the Bossier City Fire Department.
Services in her honor will begin with a Visitation, between 5 – 7 pm, Thursday, September 7. The Funeral will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, September 8, 2023, with Dr. Gevan Spinney presiding. All services will be held at Hill Crest Memorial, Haughton, LA.
