BLANCHARD, LA - Services to honor the life of Mr. Quinton Theo Young, 90, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Blanchard with Rev. Doug Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, April 15, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the church.
Theo was born on July 20, 1925, in Minden, LA to William R. and Ollie C. Young, and passed away on April 13, 2016. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and later made his living as a carpenter in commercial construction. Theo lost the love of his life, his wife Verna, only a short nine months ago. So it came as no surprise to the family that he would join her so soon. He was a loving and kind man, adored by his family and cherished by his friends. He will be deeply missed.
Theo is preceded in death by his wife, Verna Young; brothers, Bobby and Dalton Young; and sisters, Ima Jean Brown and Ola Bell Sullivan, and his parents. He leaves behind his sons, Larry Young and wife Linda, Dr. Ray Young and wife Debi, and Kevin Young and wife Lauren; grandchildren, Crystal (Young) Burris, Jennifer (Young) Bailey, Kathryn Young, Amy (Young) Havens, Linda (Young) Tutton, Adam Young, Erin (Young) Hodges, Lacey (Young) MacRae, and Whitney (Young) Moore; great-grandchildren, Levi, Ethan, JT, Isaac, RaeAnne, Sawyer, Cutter, Boone, Kaitlyn, Bryleigh, Jamiee, Charley, Brodie, Kristen, Kaci, Mackenzie, Lindsey, and Wesley; sister, Zelda Harper and husband Clyde; and brother, Clifton Young.
Pallbearers are Jason Havens, Levin Havens, Ethan Havens, Adam Young, Ken Lawler, Toby Wilemon, and Shane Moore.
