Paul Green was born in Coushatta, Louisiana unto the union of James and Hazel Green. Paul graduated from Martin High School, in Martin, LA, where he was nominated as friendliest in high school. He worked on a farm until he joined the Navy, where he served on the USS Saratoga Aircraft Carrier. He retired from the Department of Transportation and Development, as Superintendent of Signs.
Paul enjoyed many things in this life to include, fishing, hunting, music and spending time with his family. In his retirement, with his his love of music, along with his extensive library of albums, CD's and mixed tapes, he became a DJ and worked many private parties. His time on Toledo Bend Lake allowed him to work for the Sabine River Authority for the bass tournament on the catch and release barge.
Paul was preceded in death by: father James C. Green; and mother, Hazel Kellogg Green; sister Bobbie Green Medellin.
He is survived by: wife, Agnes Ramirez Green; sister, Joanne Green Jones; daughters, Paula Piersee (Gene), and Pamela Green Hill; grandchildren, Matt Stevens (Christal), Ginger Hill, Dakota Hill, and Makayla Hill Lee (Josh); along with numerous great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a loyal friend. We will all miss him greatly.
Services in his honor will be held April 18, 2024 beginning with a Visitation between 1 - 2 pm; then a Funeral at 2:00 pm within the Chapel of Hill Crest, with Joe Wood presiding. Interment will follow in the cemetery, with U.S. Navy Honors.
