Patricia Rodgers

BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services for Patricia Rodgers will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 with Brother Scott Teutsch officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4 at the funeral home.

Patricia was born in Pelahatchie, MS on May 28, 1932. In 1955, she moved to Bossier Parish where she stayed. She was active for many years at Eastwood Baptist Church, formerly known as Hillcrest Baptist Church, where she was the last surviving charter member. Patricia worked for the Bossier Parish School Board and retired after 24 years. She was a devoted Christian mother and grandmother. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by many.

She went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2013 at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her mother Lillian Moulder, first husband Bobby Purvis, late husband Harrold Rodgers and brother Russell Myers.

She is survived by daughter Sandra Cichocki Mitchell and husband Jay, son Mark Purvis and wife Debbie, grandchildren Scott Cichocki, Kenny Cichocki, Kristy Purvis an Stacey Purvis, great grandchildren Kylie Cichocki and Matthew Purvis, sister Elizabeth Hodges, brother Ray Myers and wife Pat as well as the many nieces and nephews who loved her.

The family would like to thank Pilgrim Manor for their wonderful care, and a special thanks to Patricia’s devoted friends Jeanette, Barbara, Tina and Lola.
