Patricia "Diane" Pepper Smith

Diane Smith was born March 4, 1950, in Springhill, LA where she resided until her marriage to her husband of 44 years. Diane lived the majority of her life in Pittsburgh, PA and worked as an Administrative Secretary for PPG until her retirement from the company after relocating to Lake Charles, LA. She was a beloved grandmother, very talented jewelry maker, and a published author.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Norma Jean Hood Wreyford, and an infant brother. Left to cherish her memory include husband, Howard "Huddy" Smith of Princeton; daughter, Shana Griffin and husband, Gary of Minden; brothers, Ronnie Pepper and wife, Pat of Springhill, Larry Wreyford and wife, Treva of Haughton; sister Leigh Anne Harvey and husband, Wade of Springhill; uncles, Waymon Hood and wife, Jo of Houston, TX; Raymond "Doug" Hood and wife, Lana of Des Allemands, LA.; grandchildren, Amber Laffitte and husband, Brad of Leesville, LA (Lochlan and Finn), Wade Rhodes and wife, Holly of Dubberly (Hayden, Leah and Kerrigan), and Vivianne Marie Griffin, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, with Brother Billy Pierce officiating.
