

Otilia Keel passed away on March 29, 2021 at the age of 96. Born in Panama on December 13, 1924, to parents Susana Romero and Jose Sanchez, Otilia spent her youth and early adulthood caring for her siblings and working in her father’s convenience store.
In 1953 Otilia married American Airman, Norwood Eugene Keel, and the couple later moved to the United States where she proudly became a citizen. Otilia and Norwood raised four children and settled in Bossier City, Louisiana after being stationed in various places around the country. She enjoyed watching sports, growing plants, walking, and spending time with family. Otilia kept in close contact with her Panamanian relatives throughout her life, visiting and talking on the phone. She was a devout Catholic and treasured her faith in God.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Norwood, and siblings Josefa de Rengifo, Leon Sanchez, Eloisa de Mateos, Santiago Sanchez, and Lucia de Jimenez.
She lives on through her sister, Aura de Dieguez of Panama; son, Howard Keel, of Bossier City, LA; daughter and son-in-law, Arleene and Garland Moore, of Wichita, KS; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Clint Hanson, of Bossier City, LA; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kathy Keel, of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Amanda Feeheley, C.K. Hanson, Amy Keel, Allison Moore, and Ashley Keel; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Feeheley, Tripp Hanson, and Lucas Moore.
There will be a private gathering for immediate family.
