Norma Ann Rowan Scroggins was born in Bedford, Indiana on April 29, 1932 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 20, 2022. She grew up in Shreveport and was a graduate of Fair Park High School. She was married to James Leslie Scroggins for 45 years until his passing.
Norma was a bookkeeper & notary working at Bossier Rural Electric for many years and retired from Southern Components, Inc. She was a member of First United Methodist (Bossier) where she served on many committees, sang with the Circuit Riders & Chancel Choirs, and was a member of the Parker Sunday School Class. She was an active member of the Bossier Mothers’ Club, II. She loved traveling to Europe, all over the United States, & cruising with her beloved “travel buddies” and the Holiday Rambler RV Club. Norma was an avid LSU fan.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband, James Leslie Scroggins; parents, George Frank Rowan & Edith Mae Pashby Rowan. Left to cherish her memory are: children, Gary Scroggins Sandy, Utah and Gail Scroggins Lincecum (Lynn) Monroe, Louisiana; grandchildren, Cary Lincecum (Heather) Monroe, Louisiana and Leslie Lincecum Mann (Tommy) Baton Rouge, Louisiana; great grandchildren, Gracie Mann, Lilly Mann, Lucy Mann, and Evyn Lincecum; and special nephew, Jimmy Scroggins (Kaylon) Mena, Arkansas.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2022 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Highway 80, Haughton, Louisiana. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Services will be officiated by Rev. David Dietzel. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to service.
