BOSSIER CITY, LA - Funeral services for Mildred Blanche Cobb Estrada, 83, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Simons and assisting will be Ollie Golson. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday evening, November 10, 2023 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral home.
Mildred Blanche Cobb Estrada was born August 4, 1940 in Coushatta, LA and went home to be with her Lord at 7:46 a.m., October 27, 2023. She was a devout Christian and blessed all those who knew her with her kindness and loving heart. She loved to cook for family and friends, play the guitar and sing for others, especially in church. Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Clifton Cobb, Rev. Edwin M. Lofton and Florence B. Lofton, daughter Kathy Darlene Newman, and brothers, Donald W. Cobb, Alvin Cobb, J.C. Cobb, Alton Cobb, Rudolph Cobb, Tommy Cobb and sister Faye Cobb. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Henry Mark Estrada and her children, Brenda Vrabel and husband Paul of Mansfield, TX, Sherry Newton and fiancé Mike Cook of Kennedale, TX and Linda Janine Hart of Fort Worth, TX. Sisters, Polly Cobb Bedgood of Shreveport, LA. Isidee "Tincey" Cobb Millican of DeBerry, TX, Bonnie Cobb Simons and husband, Rev. Dale Simons of Shreveport, LA, Sandra Lofton Golson and husband Ollie of Benton, LA, brother Clyde Lofton and wife, Mary of Haughton, LA; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, best friend, Dottie Hughes and many, many relatives and friends. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dale and Bonnie Simons, doctors and caregivers of Willis Knighton Bossier City, Gavin Hendricks and all caregivers at Pathway Rehabilitation Hospital of Bossier City.
Pallbearers will be grandson, Cameron Newton and nephew, Richard Reynolds, Mike Cook, John Bear, Michael Gilstrap and Joshua Arrington.
