Michael Franklin Lowry

Michael Franklin Lowry was born September 10,1951, in East Liverpool, Ohio, and passed away after a long illness on April 10, 2025 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Prior to her passing in 2022, Michael was with his wife Cynthia Lowry for over 40 years.

Michael was very caring, and loved his numerous children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren very much. When Michael wasn’t working to provide for his family, he spent his time coaching baseball and training his horses.

Michael was a fighter his entire life and never let anyone tell him something wasn’t possible. That’s what we loved most about him, his belief that if we put in enough effort and sacrifice we could achieve anything we desired. He was the toughest and hardest working person we’ve ever known. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents Josephine and Frank and his long time partner and wife Cynthia Lowry. Also preceding Michael is his brother-in-laws Bobby McQueary, Edward Prather, and son-in-law Charles Soles.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Jolinda Cross and Jan Zorbas, his children, Bobby Graham (April), Catrina Graham Soles, Franklin Lowry (Amanda), Josephine Lowry (Wesley Devers), and Heidi Lowry. Michael's grandchildren who meant the world to him: Casey Graham, Carey Barthelmess (Kaleb), Josh Graham, Tucker Devers, Delilah Devers, Mason Lowry, Aoife Lowry and Atlas Lowry. Michael was also fortunate to have great grandchildren: Wade Graham, and Levi Barthelmess, Lucas Barthelmess, and Hudson Barthelmess. Michael will also be greatly missed by his son-in-law Wesley Devers, sister-in-law Ina Prather, daughter-in-law Amanda Lowry and April Graham, nieces Sarah Prather, Hope Watterson and her husband Wesley, Tasha Watterson, Tina Miller, Jodi Croxa, Crystal Birkhimer, Niki Nart, Michelle Bennett and nephews Jayme Duffy, Scott Prather, Michael Mattern and Skyler McQueary.

A private visitation for Michael will be held at a later date.
