Mary Ann Wilson Oberle went to be with Jesus on December 7, 2024. She was born on August 1,1939, and was 85 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Eminora Wilson of Hodge, Louisiana.
Visitation will held on December 13, 2024, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel from 1pm to 2pm with the funeral service immediately following at 2 pm, also at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, LA.
She was a graduate of Northwestern State University, Natchitoches, LA where she received a Bachelor of Nursing degree and was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She received a Master's Degree in Nursing from Emory University, Atlanta, GA. Ann was a retired member of the faculty for the College of Nursing at Northwestern State University where she worked and taught many students for over 30 years. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, and Epsilon Sigma Alpha philanthropic sorority.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Arnold D Oberle of Bossier City, LA, her children, Karen Oberle Perez and her late husband, Edward Perez of Spring, TX, Mark and Shannon Oberle of Madison, MS, and Lauren and Shane Culver of Haughton, LA as well as her brother John A and Julie Wilson of Biloxi, MS. Brothers-in-law, Robert H Oberle of Little Rock, AR, and David and Anita Oberle of San Antonio, TX. She loved her grandchildren dearly-Alexandra and Haley Perez, Austin (wife, Roseanna) and Braden Oberle, and Solon, Hudson, and Lanndry Culver, along with her nieces and nephews, Terri Nevils (husband, Todd), Tricia Hiros (husband, Adnan), Steve Oberle (partner, Rachel), and Todd Oberle (wife, Malissa).
Pallbearers will be Shane Culver, Solon Culver, Hudson Culver, Austin Oberle, Steve Oberle, and Todd Oberle.
Our family would like to say a very special thank you to the staff at The Blake Memory Care unit for loving and taking excellent care of our wife and mother. You all made her last few years of life the best they could have been.
