Mary Teresa Clifton

She was born on December 31, 1936 in Ennis, Ireland to Francis and Mary (Cassidy) O'Conner. Mary, also known as "Mona" by her family and loved ones, was a longtime Haughton resident and a faithful member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She had a long career with, AT&T, formally, Lucent Technology. Mona was generous, kind and giving of her time or by donations to various causes. She loved animals, especially dogs. If you knew Mona, you knew her dog, Patches.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James "Jim" Clifton; infant son, Michael James Clifton; sisters, Patricia Audette and Bridget Lawler; and niece, Fiona Sievwright.

Mona is survived by her nieces, Suzanne Morris and husband Randall, Michelle Hartley and Pamela Long; great niece, Brianne Hardin; nephew, Alex Morris; brother-in-law, James Lawler; nephews, Brandon Lawler and his family, Jaime Lawler and his family, and Steve Sievwright; great-nephew, Connor Sievwright; great-niece, Ellen Sievwright; as well as countless other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that she loved dearly.

A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, December 9, 2024 from 1:00 pm at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel, followed by a service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Park.
