Marston Bulow Stephens, age 96, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 surrounded by loving family. He was born on October 24, 1926 in Hall Summit, Louisiana to the late Roy Henry and Tommie Lee Fletcher Stephens. Marston graduated from Bossier High School and joined the United States ARMY. He played an integral part in the US Atomic Energy Commissions testing of the first Atomic Bomb. Following his service in the ARMY, Marston became a Chemical Engineer and worked for Universal Oil Products (UOP). After retiring from UOP, he spent lots of time fishing and serving as a Deacon with Belaire Baptist Church.
Marston was preceded in passing by his parents, his beloved wife of fifty-seven years; Ramona Caroline Griner Stephens, two brothers: Alton Ray Stephens, and Rodney Elvis Stephens.
Left to cherish Marston's wonderful memories will be his devoted daughter; Cindy Lou Stephens Tolliver and husband Randy, one granddaughter; Jennifer Ashley Smith, two bonus granddaughters: Jessica Tolliver, Rebecca Tolliver, one great-grandson; Brayden Lee Smith, two bonus granddaughters: Kaylee Snyder, Emberlyn Snyder, one nephew; Gary Stephens, three nieces: Patsy Gilliland, Tommie Morgan and husband Steve, Rebecca Stephens and partner Martha, his loving companion; Shih Tzu Bear, along with extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
The family would like to express our sincerest gratitude with all our love, to Luberta Freeman for all her tender loving care she provided Marston over the past year.
A visitation for Marston will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037, followed by a celebration of life service at 1:00 PM.
Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037.
Honoring Marston as pallbearers will be Gary Stephens, Casey Stephens, David Huyck, Bill Spurlin, Joshua Singleton, Josh Merritt, and Scotty Lane.
