Graveside services for Mrs. Arney are scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, September 27, 2019 at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Haughton, LA. Pastor Jared Pickett will serve as officiant. The family invites friends to a visitation from 1 PM until service time in the state room at the funeral home.
Margaret was born to parents, Jefferson L. and Effie M. Hoyt Martin, on May 4 1937 in State Line, IN. She passed peacefully on September 24, 2019 in Texarkana, TX. Margaret was always well dressed; not one hair out of place. She meticulously cared for both her home and her family. She loved the Lord and was an active member of Stockwell Missionary Baptist Church. When she wasn’t cooking or caring for her house or family, you might find her out enjoying one of her past times: shopping, dining out, going to the beauty shop, watching He-Haw, or watching Gaither Homecoming programs, many gospel singing shows, and polka & country dancing shows. Until her health prevented it, she and her husband Bobby loved traveling around to different states together. She joined her husband, of 44 years, in Glory this past Tuesday at the age of 82.
Preceding Mrs. Arney in death are her husband, Bobby O. Arney; step-son, Doyle Arney; one grandchild, Rebecca Bradford; and 10 of her 11 siblings. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Billy Kose with wife June; daughters, Brenda Barnard with husband Skip and Pam Crawford; sister, Vi Vaulkenburg; granddaughter, Shannon Wells with husband Craig; great granddaughter, Adalyn Wells; and numerous step children and their families as well as nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family would like to thank the nurses at Hospice of Texarkana, especially Debbie, for their kind and compassionate care.
