Marc was born on February 1, 1976 in Burlington, WI, and passed away May 9, 2018. He graduated from Haughton High School and began a career in the oil and gas industry. Marc was an avid outdoorsman and motorcycle enthusiast who loved his family and friends passionately.
He had a long-standing career in the oil and gas industry that began in 2001 with CDM Resource Management. Marc went on to start his own businesses; Bayou Swabbing and Wolf Petroleum. These experiences then led him to go on to his dream job at Pegasus Optimization Managers in Colorado. The last year of his life allowed him to fully experience his love for the outdoors by participating in many hunts, fishing excursions and ski trips.
His father, Clarence "Butch" Meitner, preceded him in death. Marc is survived by his daughter, Kaleigh Meitner; his mother and “biggest fan”, Suzanne Weltzien and husband Herb; sisters, Maggie Robertson and husband Brian and Michelle Coffel and husband Jason; brothers, Duane Weltzien and wife Brandy, Dan Weltzien and wife Jill, Tom Meitner and Gary Meitner.
Kelby Danes, Brandon Jones, T.J. Jones, Eli Mosley, Trey Copeland, Michael Alghareeb, John Gates and Mike Constanzi will serve as pallbearers for Friday’s service.
The Family would like to thank Pegasus Optimization Managers and Kodiak Gas Services for their generosity and unending support.
